Radiation Medicine

I am dedicated to delivering world-class cancer care through the use of cutting-edge technology and best practices. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team - including Medical and Surgical Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists, Registered Nurses, and Dosimetrists - we tailor each treatment plan to meet the unique needs of our patients, whether the goal is curative or palliative.My expertise spans advanced techniques such as stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) with RapidArc, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) with cone beam CT scanning (CBCT). I also employ electron beam therapy, 3D-conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), and custom bolus creation.I am certified to prescribe the Optune TTF device for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and the Optune Lua™ TTF device for mesothelioma. In 2024, I pioneered the first radiopharmaceutical program in central Vermont, introducing Xofigo™ (radium-223). My experience extends to using radiotherapy for various benign and non-malignant conditions, including osteoarthritis, keloids, and gynecomastia.

With nearly two decades of experience in biomedical research, I have authored numerous manuscripts, book chapters, review articles, and invited editorials. As a peer reviewer for multiple scientific journals across various disciplines, my work is widely recognized and has been cited hundreds of times by physicians and scientists worldwide. Education and Training

I earned my medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University), where I was honored with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Alongside my MD, I also completed a PhD in the Department of Radiation Oncology, focusing on genomic integrity and novel radiosensitizing agents. My research was supported by an F30 Fellowship from the National Cancer Institute.Following medical school, I pursued an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Radiation Oncology (Therapeutic Radiology) at the Yale School of Medicine. While at Yale, I engaged in postdoctoral research on nanoparticle-encapsulated radiosensitizing pharmaceuticals through the B. Leonard Holman Pathway, earning an ASTRO Seed Grant for my work. I am board-certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology and actively participate in Maintenance of Certification (MOC).
